Since its inception in 1981, The cannery la Périgourdine became an industrial cannery while keeping his soul as a human-sized (~ 30 employees) artisanal operation. It represents the flavors of France in the Pacific through its two reference brands : « La Périgourdine » and « Mutular ».
Since 2009, in order to adapt to the needs of its customers in terms of increasing volumes, flexibility of supply, diversification and responsiveness in production, the cannery has invested in the complete replacement of its production lines with last generation machines. Since 2010, the company has expanded its range by the introduction on the market of a range of high-quality albacore tuna : « delights of the South seas » ; with an even more comprehensive product range and the constant concern to increase the quality of its products, food safety and to satisfy its consumers, the company selects first choice raw materials and makes a point of honor to maintaining hygiene of production and manufacturing processes respondents to the HACCP standards.




For more than 30 years, the cannery la Périgourdine, proud of its belonging to the overseas French network of companies, invested relentlessly to raise awareness and develop the gourmet traditional French cuisine in New Caledonia. Today strong of 3 decades in the service of its local market, the company is resolutely turning to export in the Pacific region.
The export process is based on the principles that have always guided our choice of raw materials and our recipes : respect for the culinary traditions and characteristic taste of our regional dishes and the nutritional quality and balanced diet sought for our products.


La Périgourdine is proud of its roots in the socio economic and industrial Caledonians landscape. It always made it a point of honor to capitalize on and to support local employment. Today, the company, beyond its continued development of its traditional markets, is striving to develop its sales abroad to enhance its reputation of fine food expertise and of producers of French Delicatessen throughout the Pacific. La Périgourdine is joining a few industrial companies that make radiate the French know-how and expertise of its Caledonian teams and productions in the South Pacific.
